The Oforikrom Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with Bayport Savings and Loans, Amakom Branch, on Saturday, 11th October 2025, embarked on a massive clean-up exercise as part of the Assembly’s ongoing monthly sanitation campaign aimed at promoting cleanliness and public health in the municipality.
The exercise saw the active involvement of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed, Assembly Members, staff of the Assembly, personnel from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), party supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and residents of the area.
Participants took to the main street of Kentinkrono and the Oduom Lorry Station, engaging in activities such as sweeping, desilting gutters, weeding overgrown areas, collecting, and properly disposing of refuse.
The initiative reflects the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships in ensuring environmental cleanliness, as well as fostering community participation in addressing sanitation challenges within Oforikrom municipality.
