Residents of the Oforikrom Municipality are set to benefit from improved educational infrastructure, sanitation, and access to potable water following the commissioning of six development projects by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed.
The commissioned projects include: Newly constructed three‑unit classroom blocks with offices and stores at Emena and Aprade, A three‑unit kindergarten block at Weweso, A refurbished six‑unit classroom block at Kotei, A newly constructed nine‑seater toilet facility at Oforikrom, and a borehole at Bomso
These initiatives form part of the Assembly’s efforts to address critical infrastructure gaps and improve the quality of basic services available to residents. The educational projects will provide pupils and teachers with enhanced learning and teaching environments, while the toilet facility and borehole will contribute to better sanitation and reliable access to potable water.
Hon. Sadat Ahmed reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to implementing development projects that respond to community needs and improve the wellbeing of residents. He urged beneficiaries and community members to take ownership of the facilities and ensure proper maintenance to prolong their lifespan.
The commissioning ceremonies were attended by the Municipal Engineer and Acting Coordinating Director, Mr. Edward Kwasi Anyam, Assembly Members, representatives of the Municipal Director of Education, and staff of the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly.
