OFORIKROM MCE ENGAGES RESIDENTS ON DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

The Oforikrom Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed, has met with residents across three electoral areas to account for his stewardship and share updates on ongoing development initiatives.

The engagements, held in Oforikrom West, Anloga East, and Anloga West Electoral Areas, brought together traditional rulers, Assembly Members, Unit Committee members, Landlords’ Associations, Youth Groups, and Community Residents.

Hon. Sadat explained that the initiative was designed to promote accountability, strengthen community relations, and deepen local governance by providing residents with firsthand information on the activities and achievements of Assembly. He emphasized that such forums also allow citizens to raise concerns, ask questions, and propose ideas to accelerate development in their communities.

Highlighting key achievements, the MCE mentioned progress in sanitation improvements, the proposed construction of an Astroturf at Oforikrom West, and enhanced security measures. He disclosed that several development projects were scheduled for commissioning during the week.

On security, Hon. Ahmed announced that the Assembly would provide the Oforikrom Police Station with five motorcycles to boost patrols and strengthen security operations across the municipality.

Residents actively participated in the sessions, voicing challenges affecting their communities and receiving responses from the MCE and Assembly officials. Officers from the Oforikrom Fire Service Station and the Oforikrom Police Station also educated participants on fire safety and robbery prevention, urging vigilance and adherence to safety measures, especially as the municipality approaches the dry and festive seasons.

They stressed that community vigilance and compliance with safety protocols would significantly reduce the risks of fires, robberies, and other emergencies.
