OFORIKROM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY INSPECTS ONGOING DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

The Oforikrom Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, embarked on a series of site inspections across the municipality to assess the progress of key ongoing development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and service delivery.

The inspection exercise covered several communities, focusing on both water and education infrastructure. Among the projects visited was the drilling and mechanization of five boreholes at Ayigya, Aketego, Bomso, Anloga East, and Oforikrom East, expected to improve access to safe and reliable water for residents.

The team also inspected the construction of a skip pad at Deduako to enhance waste management in the area. In the education sector, the Assembly assessed progress on the rehabilitation of a six-unit classroom block with an office and store at Kotei R/C Primary School.

Other educational projects inspected included the construction of a ground floor three-unit classroom block with an office and store at Emena M/A School, as well as the construction of a new kindergarten block at Weweso M/A School.

The site visits formed part of the Assembly’s efforts to monitor project implementation, ensure value for money, and address any challenges that could delay completion. Officials noted that the inspections were also intended to help accelerate work and ensure that the projects, once completed, will contribute significantly to development and improved living conditions within the municipality.
