OFORIKROM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY DELIVERS 400 DUAL DESKS TO ENHANCE CLASSROOM COMFORT

In a commendable effort to improve the learning environment for pupils in the Oforikrom Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Abraham Antwi, led the management of the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly to deliver 400 dual desks to the Municipal Education Directorate today, October 10.

These desks will be subsequently distributed to schools in the municipality that had requested additional furniture. The distribution of these Dual Mono-Desks, acquired through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), aims to create a conducive, comfortable, and functional classroom setting for the young learners in the municipality.

During the handover ceremony, Hon. Abraham Antwi emphasized the importance of maintaining these desks for future generations. He called upon teachers and pupils alike to take responsibility for ensuring the desks’ longevity, thus ensuring that students for years to come can benefit from these facilities.

Madam Dorothy Opare Baidoo, the Municipal Educational Director, expressed her gratitude to the government for its prompt response in providing much-needed furniture to local schools. She pledged to oversee the proper care and utilization of the desks, further assuring the MCE and the management of their commitment to preserving these valuable educational resources.

She also used the occasion to appeal to all stakeholders to extend their support to the Municipality, as some schools still face infrastructure and logistical challenges. She emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to provide an enriching learning experience for all students in the Oforikrom Municipality.
