The visit, which covered the Anloga, Ayigya, Ayeduase, and Kotei markets, was aimed at familiarizing the MCE with market activities, understanding challenges faced by traders, and exploring ways to integrate their needs into the Assembly’s policy framework.
During his interactions, Hon. Ahmed Sadat identified key challenges including inadequate market sheds, poor security and lighting systems, and sanitation issues.
He assured traders of the Assembly’s commitment to collaborate with them in finding lasting solutions to improve market conditions.
Among the delegation were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Kwesi Owusu Mintah, KNUST District Police Commander John Paul Akonde, the Presiding Member, Hon. Richard Nyarko, some Assembly Members and Government Appointees and staff of the Oforikrom Assembly.
