HON. AHMED ANWEL SADAT CONFIRMED AS OFORIKROM MCE

In a development that underscores the government’s commitment to effective local governance, the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly has confirmed Mr. Ahmed Anwel Sadat as its new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

The confirmation was made yesterday during a special meeting held at the Banisvilla, where 22 assembly members and government appointees participated in a Yes/No voting process.

Mr. Sadat secured 15 Yes votes out of the 22 total votes cast, representing 68.2%. This decisive majority is a confirmation of the President’s nomination by the assembly members.

Speaking shortly after his confirmation, Mr. Sadat expressed his profound gratitude to the assembly members for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the municipality. He pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the realization of the President's "Resetting Agenda," a program aimed at rejuvenating and improving the socio-economic fabric of the country.

Hon. Sadat further highlighted his commitment to working with all stakeholders to address the developmental needs of the municipality. He promised transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in his leadership approach, emphasizing that the success of his tenure would be measured by the tangible improvements in the lives of the people of Oforikrom.

In attendance were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Charles Attah Mensah, the Presiding Member, Hon. Richard Nyarko, the NDC Oforikrom Constituency Chairman and Secretary, as well as heads of departments and party supporters.
