Oforikrom MCE celebrates Nananom in the Municipality

The Municipal Chief Executive for Oforikrom, Hon. Abraham Kwame Antwi has organized an end of year party for the traditional councils in the municipality to celebrate and further strengthen the bond between the assembly and the traditional heads. The celebration took place at the Se-Manhyia Golden Mall on the 30th of December, 2021.

Hon. Antwi iterated that the purpose of the assembly is to foster development in the municipality but that could only be achieved with the support of Nananom. He therefore pleaded Nananom to support the assembly in its course in any possible way they could. The MCE stated that the coming year promises to be more productive and efficient

The MCE expressed his uttermost interest in the cleanliness of Oforikrom and pointed that the assembly is making efforts to partner with KNUST to extend the cleanliness in the campus to the various communities in the municipality. He further noted that in the coming year, the role of the health inspectors would be heightened to deter people from loitering about and keep a clean environment in the municipality.

Hon. Antwi also mentioned the necessity for every community to establish community watchdogs who would assist the police to ensure security of the people. He called on Nananom to support the course noting that the assembly has provided streetlights for every community to reduce breeding grounds for criminals in the festive season.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Charles Atta-Mensah also pleaded with Nananom to guide the assembly in the administration of the municipality and reiterated the need for such gatherings not for just merry making but to also discuss major concerns in the municipality.

As the special guest for the program, CEO for SG Mall, Nana Se-Manhyia pointed the purpose of the Se-Manhyia Golden Mall was to create jobs and offer recreational and other services to Oforikrom and Ashanti Region. He expressed his desire to see the development of Oforikrom as a native of the town. He also pleaded with Nananom to assist and support his vision.
