The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Gloria Temmah Gambrah has cut sod for the construction of a six-unit block for the Aprade M/A School, a community in the Oforikrom Municipality in the Ashanti region. The project was funded by the GETFUND of the Assembly.
Speaking at the programme, Hon Gambrah urged the constructors to speed up the pace of work but produce quality work to ensure value for money. she also seized the opportunity to address the people of Aprade that as part of her developmental plans for Oforikrom she will also work hand in hand with the Member of Parliament Hon. Dr Emmanuel Marfo to ensure Oforikrom gets its share of the national cake in terms development.
She was grateful to the Member of Parliament Hon. Dr Emmanuel Marfo for being instrumental in the development of educational infrastructure in Aprade Community to ease the distress children had to go through to access quality education.The Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, Hon. Dr Emmanuel Marfo said the government was taking bold steps to address problem facing basic education to reverse the falling standards of student's. He thus, called on the Traditional Council and the community of Aprade to protect and supervised the project.
The Traditional Council of Aprade were appreciative of the project and expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament Hon. Dr Emmanuel Marfo and the Assembly for their thoughtfulness of their wards and bringing the project into the community. The promised to ensure the continuity of the project for posterity to benefit.
